Guess who's back!!

Ok so it's been about a year and a half or a little longer so let's play catch up.. What has been happening in my life.. First thing I moved back to Utah from Virginia and I was really sad to leave but also really excited because I got to spend a lot of time with my family. Especially my niece and nephews and they are the cutest little kids ever. I started working at Paradise Bakery and it was fun for awhile but then I left there and got a job at a place called Normandie Bakery and I loved what I was doing there but the lady that owned the place was a real witch and I hated working for her but I loved the people I worked with so I stuck it out for a while. I also started working at the movie theater in Salt Lake and was a manager there.. It was just a lot of fun.. Well then I decided that I wanted to do something different and well something more so I did a bunch of research and went in to a National Guard recruiting station one day and met with a recruiter and guess what a little while later I joined the United States Army. I signed through the National Guard but they have a program called Active First and that is what I did. Basically I am regular Army for 3 years and then I can either go back to National Guard or extend my active duty.. So in 3 years I will let you know what I decided to do. I quit my jobs.. Quitting the Bakery was my favorite cause she well is a super witch and I totally got to walk out on her during the Christmas season which sucks for her and it was awesome. I left for Basic in January to Ft. Jackson, SC. I expected it to totally suck and be horrible and awful and hard.. It wasn't any of those things.. I mean it had pretty sucky moment and and it was a little bit hard sometimes but I didn't get yelled at like I expected and well it just wasn't like I expected. It is a little bit funny to talk about especially with my brother, Mike, cause his was way harder than mine but then again he did go like 12 years ago. After basic I headed to Ft. Eustis, VA for AIT where I learned how to be a Blackhawk Helicopter Mechanic. It is pretty freakin awesome and I loved it. I learned so much cool stuff. Plus it makes me feel pretty bad ass. I had awesome instructors and it was an awesome time. I mean being at the company wasn't always cool but I met awesome people and learned awesome things. WOW I just used awesome about a million times. But I am so excited about all of this stuff. Now I am going to GERMANY. I leave August 7th to head over there and I am so excited. That is my life in a nutshell up till now and I am going to try and keep up the best I can..

Well actually many of you probably are already aware of this but I have decided to move back out west. This is probably the easiest yet the hardest decision I have ever made. When I first moved out here I never thought I would end up staying as long as I have but once I got here everything just fit and I fell in love with this place and the people here. I actually had never really planned to move back out there at least for a little while but my last trip home sealed the deal and made my mind up for me or should I say three little kids made the decision for me. Those little kids are Lance, Luke and Kate. I have missed so much of their lives by living this far away and it just really hit me hard last time I was there so I decided I didn't want to miss anymore so when I got back I told Stacie and Kenny that I was moving and I must say it was a shock to everyone, including me. Being the stubborn one that I am though I was trying to move closer but avoid being back in Utah. I first settled on Portland, Oregon and then Kenny told me that I needed to check the unemployment rate for the place I planned to go and turns out Oregon is like the second highest in unemployment so that squashed that idea. Next I decided on Denver, Colorado and Melinda thought about moving with me and then she decided not to and really all of these places are great but I realized none of them were close enough for the sole reasons for moving back out west so I am not returning to Salt Lake City, Utah.. This has been an extremely hard decision and I have prayed more than I have about any other decision and I truly believe it is the best choice for me at this point in my life. As sad as it is to leave my friends and especially Stacie, Kenny and Cameron I know that this life of mine out here will continue to be a part of me wherever I am. Stacie and Kenny will always be my extra set of parents and will always be there for me no matter what I do. They will be at all the major things in my life and even the not so major things. Cameron finally gave me the little brother that I always wanted. I loved growing up as the baby but I have loved being the big sister and being the one that he came to when he had a problem and he couldn't go to his parents. It has been amazing being able to watch him grow from this shy, timid little boy into the man he is becoming. I am so proud of how much he has grown and I am happy I got to be a part of it. I love my little brother even if it isn't by blood we have grown very close in these past four years and I am so grateful for the experiences I have had. Recently my friend, Shelise, did a little pros and cons list for there recent move and I would like to copy her and do one for my giant move.
First I'm going to go over the things I will miss the most about Northern Virginia and the East Coast..
-Stacie, Kenny and Cameron
-Mike and Linda Warner
-My ward(I love how small and close it is)
-My friends.. Especially: Melissa, Rachel, Phil, Brittany, Erin, Seth and many many more people..
-The beach(it's so nice to be so close)
-How everything gets so green and the colors in the fall are so vibrant
-How Historic it is out here
-The opportunities
-Chef Fleck
-The very diverse amount of restaurants
-The llamas
-I could go on for days..
Now the things I will not miss about this place..
-Feeding the llamas everyday:)
-TRAFFIC( I HATE HOW MUCH TRAFFIC THERE IS ALL THE FREAKIN TIME)
-The lack of mountains
-Missing out on family things
-People not knowing how to drive in bad weather
-The Ice(which is really cool but its very dangerous)
-The fact that everything shuts down if we get a centimeter of snow

Why I'm excited for moving back out west..
-My family
-My niece and nephews
-The mountains
-The snow
-My friends(most of the friends I have met out here have actually moved out there so it works out nicely)
-I get to start a whole new adventure
What I am not excited for..
-I never wanted to move back to Utah
-Missing my friends and family here

This is one of those bittersweet moments but I am very excited to start this next chapter of my life.

All Done..

So this past week was my final week at school.. I am all done. My actual graduation ceremony isn't until December because they only hold 2 ceremonies each year so they'll just end up mailing me my diploma and personalized chefs coat but that's alright I'm really excited. It still seems really weird to me because it didn't take very long and it just sort of flew by but it was so much fun and I loved it all. Ok that's a lie. I absolutely hated my Computer Applications in the Food Service Industry class. That was about lame. We learned how to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. All of which I have been using for years so it was ridiculous and my teacher was awful and well I'm glad it is over. I am really going to miss my friends and a few of my teachers, especially my friend Melissa and Chef Fleck. They have both told me that they will come visit me though so YAY!! I am a little nervous to um actually become a career person since well for the past four years I have just been having a really good time but I look forward to what is going to come bext in my life.

Poor Feet!!

Last Saturday we were doing hay and I must say that is always my least favorite day of the year because I am extremely allergic and we always end up doing it on the hottest day of the year, but this year we waited and did it in September and it was actually a beautiful day to do hay if ever there is one. So early in the morning Cameron, Kenny and I headed out and we loaded up the truck and trailer and then came back to unload it. We usually do this twice and sometimes three times. Well we got back and we had stacked it to high for it to fit under the barn doors so I got up on top and threw it up through the outside door to the hay loft until the truck could get into the barn. Well I then had no way of getting down so I laid on the hay and made myself skinny so we could pull into the barn but still I was 15 feet up and had no way of getting down so Kenny threw me a rope and I was going to I don't know swing down or climb down on the rope but then I got ahead of myself and just ended up jumping which proved to be an awful idea. At first I got that tingling feeling you get when you jump from to high up but I figured it would go away so I conitnued to unload the hay and my feet just got worse and worse and after the first load we came up for lunch and after eating I couldn't even stand up. So off Stacie and I went to the emergency room and turns out I sprained both of my feet. The doctor brought me in crutches and my first thought was "um both feet don't work so what am I suppose to do with those." I got a wheelchair to the car and luckily my right foot isn't nearly as bad as the left so I can manage to get around on the crutches. Stairs pose a challenge so I usually end up just crawling a lot but ya that was the excitement of our weekend. It is pretty sweet though because Stacie's parents just happen to be here so they are a big help plus her dad is handicap so he is letting me use his handicap sticker for when I go to school so I can always find a spot.

Renaissance Festival

On Labor Day we headed up to Maryland and went to this huge Renaissance Festival they have there. It was so huge. I mean we have one in Cedar and I thought that one was a pretty good size but ha that is nothing compared to this. They have this whole place built that is there always its like 10 times the size of the one in Cedar. I think that they are such interesting people that get all into the Renaissance thing. Its fun to watch everyone.

My friend Julie and I got all dressed up like peasants and well the lady said we couldn't take pictures unless we were buying the costumes and so we were like we'll just share a dressing room and we took pictures in there.. That's why they're a little yellow looking cause I couldn't use my flash.:) They were quite interesting and wow..

Sugar Showpieces..

Last week in class we made our sugar showpieces.. At the beginning of the week I was not excited about them at all they seemed like they were going to be quite dumb but they ended up being pretty cool. Mine is the yellow and purple one. They others are from a couple of girls in my class.

I even took it home and it made it all the way home without even breaking. I was quite impressed with myself. :)

Redskins Game!!

Phil and I went to the Redskins game a couple weeks ago when they played the New Englad Patriots. It was a lot of fun. It was suppose to rain but it ended up being pretty nice. It was quite sticky with all the humidity but eh I've gotten quite used to it. And the Patriots won.. Which I was very excited about because well I'm a big fan of the patriots but since I was going with Phil and well he's a huge REDSKINS fan I dressed the part and also we were in Redskins territory..

For my birthday this year.. For part of my present Stacie and Kenny bought me two tickets to see American Idol Live on Tour so I took my friend Marva.. It was so much fun.. We made T-shirts and everything.. They were so amazing.. Even better than the show. The top ten each did solo performances and then they did a few group numbers and a few duet things it was so much fun.. I am pretty sure that Adam Lambert has the best stage presence of anyone and he's got it going on... My favorites are Alison, Adam and Kris..

I believe it was last weekend maybe.. Kami, Sylvia, Julie, Mark, Phil and I all headed to Ocean City.. We camped at this place called Frontier town and well that was the only time I pulled out my camera.. I have really been slacking on taking pictures lately.. It was lots of fun though.. I am pretty sure I broke my toe but it feels better now..

We only stayed Friday and Saturday though because we decided to come home for church.. It was still super fun. We spent all day Saturday on the beach and played on the boardwalk and just pretty much hung out..

Yesterday Phil and I took Cameron and his friend Ryan to Six Flags and yet again I forgot my camera but we saw Daffy Duck and good thing I had my phone cause I had to have a picture..

It was suppose to pretty much pour all day yesterday which would have been awful but we lucked out and it only rained for about 20 min and it was while we were at the water park so we were already in our swimming suits..

Ok so don't judge me I am kind of a slacker at the whole blogging thing and I just realized that I never posted about the 4th of July and now that it is Aug 1st why not do it now.. We usually have a huge party at my house but the family was out of town so that didn't take place. Instead I went over to my friend Sylvia's house in the afternoon for their party and played in the moon bounce with all the little children(really I'm just a big kid) and then we went over to Phil's house that night and had a bonfire and lit of fireworks and ate and had lots of fun..
These guys spent a lot of time sticking firecrackers right next to everyone and getting a kick out of making them jump. It was pretty funny.. Phil and I for my sisters..=) It's from before but its still us together..

Chocolate Showpiece!!

This past week we made our chocolate showpieces. It was actually a lot of fun. I, however, hate tempering chocolate. I am not a patient person and I don't love doing it. It was interesting to see it all come together. My partner, Melissa, was out the first day so that meant I had to make the base and main parts all by myself, which was good practice but again I hate tempering chocolate. Plus I'm not that good at it and it takes me forever. The second day though when we were unmolding the "M" it broke so we had to do it again and this time I made her do it. In the meantime I started make the flowers. It was such a cool process and I had lots of fun doing it.

And incase you were wondering, NO we are not giving some sort of shout out to Michael Jackson, The "J" and "M" are for Julie and Melissa.

Baby Black Bear!!

So this was a couple weeks ago, I'm just not as quick with the postings as I used to be.. So my friend Sylvia and I were out test driving a car that Stacie and Kenny were thinking about buying and as we were driving down my driveway(which is about 3/4 mile long) we got about 200 yds from the house and what do we see run across the road right in front of us?? Yep that's right a little baby bear. He was so cute. He hopped through the fence into the llama pen and started up a tree. I was so excited I ran and got Stacie and Kenny and told them all about it and by the time they got there he had crawled all the way to the top of the tree and was just hanging out. Now I'm sure you are all thinking the same thing that everyone else thought when I told them but the mommy bear didn't even cross my mind and we didn't see her at all. And then about 4 hours later as I was leaving for the night the bear was gone. I was so excited I have never seen a bear in real life before it was so much fun.

I'm so glad that I got to go out to Utah and see these cutes kids... I love them all so much.. They are all so completely different from each other and are so much fun to be around..

Lamce is so helpful. He went to the nursery with "Grandmo" and "Pockin" (Grandma and Grandpa, ya who knows where he came up with that) and picked out a bunch of flowers and then came home and helped them plant them.

Lance with his "Moomies" (Movies) I got quite good at translating the Lance speak while I was home. It takes some getting used to but I think I did quite well..

Lance has gotten so big. I can't believe how tall he is.. Well I guess it's not that hard to believe since he is part of the family of Giants but he is just so dang big.. I think he is the tallest two year old I have ever seen.

Luke pretty much despises the grass. He sits there and tries to lift his feet up so he isn't touching it but he can only lift one at a time otherwise he would fall over, so he continues to lift one at a time up and then starts to cry until you pick him up.

She hated that cereal, She took one bite and turned and spit it all over me..

Advanced 1 Final!!

I am finally finished with my third quarter.. I'm quite excited that this class is done. I have loved every class but really this one just wasn't very stimulating. For our final project we had to make 10 items.. One of them being the bread showpiece we made last week. We had a lot of fun and made lots of yummy stuff. For my group..

We made eclairs with honey pastry cream..

For our plated dessert we made pineapple sorbet, fried pineapple rings with a mango sauce..

For part of our final we had to make bread showpieces and this is my groups showpiece. Since it is almost the 4th of July that was our theme. It actually turned out better than we expected.. I thought it was going to be a complete disaster when we started assembling the pieces because some of the parts baked funny and they didn't quite go together very good. As you can see it is kind of leaning well that was unavoidable because our base is a little lopsided but all and all it turned out ok.. It was lots of fun and I thought we were quite creative and everything on there is made of bread.

Abby and Logan's Wedding and MY FIRST WEDDING CAKE!!

My friends Abby and Logan got married on Saturday and I got to make their wedding cake. It was so much fun and quite a bit of work. Actually I had no idea it was going to be that much work, mostly because I made from scratch every element myself and well since I got to school full time and work full time I had to find little moments everywhere to work on it but it was so much fun and it turned out not to bad considering it was my first time and they were happy with it so what more can you ask for right. They got married in the DC temple that morning and then their reception was that evening at Logan's family's house. It was a beautiful day and I am so happy for them.

Ok so the cake is not perfect and I'm the first to admit it, mostly because we are all our own worst critics but I'm glad I did it and it was a blast. Plus it tasted fantastic and everyone loved.

Fishing out on the bay..

On Wednesday a bunch of us chartered a boat and went out on the Chesepeake Bay to go fishing. It was such an amazing experience I had so much fun. It was calling for rain all day and while we headed to Maryland it started to rain and we were a little bummed but once we got there it stopped raining and didn't start up again until we were in the car heading home. It turned out to be pretty nice, somewhat chilly but no rain so yay! The water was a little choppy and one might think you(well at least me) were drunk the way I was walking around the boat but it was so much fun. We each could only keep one fish but we got to catch tons and just throw them back. Sylvia got really quite seasick and ended up throwing up most of the trip so that wasn't fun for her but everyone else seemed to be fine.

Mike Warner with one of the fish he caught.. I think he was the best part of the trip, everyone was having a good time but the look on his face whenever there was a fish on a line or anything was priceless he was so ecstatic about it all and it was great..

That's my fish, it was so heavy and so long. It was 42 in long and weighed 30 lbs. It was definitely a fighter as well, one of the guys we were with had to hold onto my pants while I was reeling him in because he kept pulling me forward and a couple times I came very close to the back of the boat. It was so much fun though and now my left arm is so sore.

Brother Peterson is such a nut and he made it so enjoyable because he is just so silly.

New Knife..

So this starts out as sort of a sad story that is yet to be solved and I very highly doubt it will ever be solved. Last week I lost my knife kit at school. Basically what happened is that I'm pretty sure I forgot to put it in my locker after class and some nice preson decided to steal it rather than turn it in to the lost and found. It amazes me the type of inconsiderate people that are out there. So now I am out a knife kit which I kind of need for school, considering I am at a culinary school. So now I am replenishing a new kit on my own because the price of a new kit from school is just outrageous. So this leads me to my new knife. It is my favorite knife ever. I found it at Target, now its not the most durable knife and it was cheap so I'm sure it won't last long but it'll do for now. It's pink though and how could I pass up a pink knife.

Girls Night Out..

So on Saturday while the men went to priesthood we had a little bonfire.. It was lots of fun.. We played chubby bunny with marshmallows and made ourselves so very sick..

We danced and danced and danced alot..

And just played around and had fun..

So on Saturday between the two sessions of conference my friend Sylvia and I decided we needed to run to the store and pick up a few things because we decided to have a bonfire that night while the guys were at priesthood. Well we were stopped at a red light and I was waiting very patiently just ya know gazing around and my eyes crossed the front and I saw the light turn green and I was probably three cars back well I then just turned to the left and I saw the cars starting to move and not even thinking I took my foot off the brake and barely touched the gas when I noticed the car in front of me hadn't moved yet and bang I hit them.. Surprisingly though there wasn't a whole lot of damage. My car got the worst of it. Her car only has two little divits where the screws from my license plate indented her car. All and all not to bad but still it sucks.. The most important thing though is that no one was hurt and both of our cars still run just fine.

So as you all know I love school so much and here are a few of the reasons why..

1. I love to bake..

2. It's nice to go to school when you actually enjoy what you are learning..

3. It's great to finally have a plan..

4. I no longer dread having to do homework..

5. I have amazing classes..

6. I have yet to have a boring class..

7. There is never a dull moment..

8. We make amazing dishes..

9. I am learning things that excite me..

10. There's actually a purpose to my madness now..

11. I love the people I go to schoo with..

12. It's a good enviornment..

13. It makes me happy..

14. Opportunities are opening up that I never thought were possible..

15. I have the most amazing teachers that make class really exciting..

And I could go on and on but that should be good for now..

These are a some of my favorite chefs..

Chef Fleck.. He's probably my favorite of them all.. He's an amazing teacher and explains things very well.. He makes class so much fun and never a dull moment when he's around.. Plus he's one you love to hate because he makes everything look so dang simple.. I'm really sad this quarter is coming to an end because I've really enjoyed having him as a teacher..

He's our charlie and we're his angels..

Chef Crockett.. He's just a funny guy and he gets to the point with everything he is teaching.. There's no beating around the bush when it comes to him..

Sylvia's Birthday!!

Last Wednesday it was my friend Sylvia's Birthday so Erin and I took her to dinner at Olive Garden.. It was lots of fun and we made complete fools of ourselves but it was a blast.. We told them it was her birthday so they told her she could get whatever dessert she wanted but none of us wanted anything so instead they just brought a cup of whipped cream with a candle in it. Whipped cream and us just don't mix. I don't know what it is but I always end up in some sort of food fight..

THE BIG 2-3..

Ya know we're at that age when nothing really big happens and we're just at a stand still but everyone is expecting huge things from us and it's very overwhelming.. So ya know what I say to you Sylvia.. You are 23 have fun do whatever you want and just ignore everyone that expects something from you because even though you're 23 you are only 23..

Cakes and Tortes..

Ok so really there are no tortes to be shown and I mean the eclair swans don't qualify but that's the section we were working on this past week.. We also made a spongecake which I think is kind of gross I just don't really like spongecake plus it didn't turn out very pretty and I only like taking pictures of things I think turn out pretty.. We also made something called a genoise which is very similar to a spongecake and a chocolate angel food cake which turned out nicely I just didn't take a picture of it..

This isn't the exact cheesecake we made in class.. I made this one at home but it's prettier because I made it colorful..

These are our Eclair Swans.. how cute huh.. I thought it was a creative idea..

This is my favorite thing we have made so far.. It is an Orange Chiffon Cake with an orange glaze.. it is so good and I don't normally even like cake.. It is basically and angel food cake but it also has the egg yolks and a little bit of oil in it. It is so amazing I love it..

Winter Finally Came..

So all Winter we've just been teased over and over a little dusting here and a little ice there but it wasn't until yeasterday the first day of MARCH that we actually got an actual snow storm.. I didn't really believe it would happen but I woke up this morning to about 6 in of snow.. Now I know that for most of you that's not what you would call a major snow storm and I would have to agree but for out here that is what people would call monumental and everything is shut down.. Even the federal government shut down until this afternoon.. People tend to get a little nuts when snow comes and I find it a tad bit ridiculous..

This was like 6 months ago but I just found these pictures and thought I'd share.. My friend Ashley moved back to Idaho so we had a party and went to dinner before she left..

This is a game called sumo and it is so much fun basically there is a person in the middle and they point to a groupe that is sitting like Ashley and Shiree and the person in the front tries to reach the person in the middle while the person in the back is holding them back.. Its a blast you should all definately try it..

Basically the genius that I am decided to jump over the fire and I made it like 20 times but the 21st time didn't end well as you can see..

Don't worry I didn't fall in, I just got really close to falling in.. The picture is also very deceiving I was never on fire..

So this week we did a bunch of cookies which well they're just cookies not really all that exciting to take pictures of but we also made a napolean which is pretty sweet.. it consists of three layers of puff pastry and between the layers there is a pastry cream and sliced strawberries..

This is my teacher, Chef "Fleck" it's easier to say all the time rather than Fleckenstein.. He is demonstrating how to form a Napolean.. He's such an amazing teacher I just wish that everyone could come and sit in on one of my classes you'd have the time of your life..

These are so much fun.. This one is a fresh strawberry kiwi tart with white and dark chocolate drizzled on top.

Have I mentioned that I absolutely love my school.. Well I guess like the school itself is not what I love but I love my classes and my teachers and what we do. I am having a blast. Last night was Valentines Day as you are all aware of I'm sure, but even though its a holiday we still had class, which is fine with me because I love it. We made a bunch of different tarts I only have pictures of two but there were I think four.. Also the Lemon curd tart was topped with an Italian Meringue and well we had leftovers and needless to say it didn't end well for some of us.. That would be me covered in Meringue and it was sticky.. Just imagine boiled sugar mixed into whipped egg whites in your hair and eyelashes.. NOT PRETTY!! But it was fun.

She's here.. I know that Kelli should be the first one to blog about Mike and her's baby girl but I'm to dang excited and I want to share her with everyone. Kate was born yesterday, February 5, 2009. She decided she was tired of waiting around so she came out a little early but she is here and I don't know for sure everything that is happening with her but they'll be at the hospital for a little while making sure everything is perfect. She weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 20 in long and she is just a beautiful baby girl. She's just so tiny look at her next to Mike's hand. I still find it completely crazy that my brothers are now dads but I think it is so amazing as well and I am so thankful that Kate made it here safely and I'm thrilled to be an aunt again. I love my two favorite boys so much but I am so excited that we finally have a little girl.

So as many of you know I absolutely am loving my school.. It is the best experience ever and I love it so much, especially this quarter now that I am into the baking and pastry part of it. Not that I didn't love skills, I really enjoyed learning how to cook but I don't know baking is just more my thing and I really love it. I have a really amazing teacher too.. His name is Andreas Fleckenstein.. Now doesn't his name just make him sound cool.. He is a really good teacher.. I love Chef Crockett that I had for skills but Chef Fleck he just has a better way of teaching he actually takes the time to show us all everything and he expects us to have questions and he is just very understanding when you completely screw something up because turns out this is school and we're just learning so its nice to be able to screw up and not get yelled at. One of my favorite things about Chef Fleck is that when he comes over to demonstrate something he makes it look so dang easy because well he's been doing it for a long time and he tells you now I know you're thinking wow that looks easy well it's not I just make it look that way and 90% of the time he is right and sometimes I royally screw things up but they are usually fixable..

This past week we made lots and lots of fun stuff.. We made chocolate covered eclairs and flan..

We made Creme Brulee.. Which was easier than I thought it was going to be I mean it took some time to get used to the blowtorch as you can tell my coloring is a little funky but I don't think its to bad with it being my first try. That's one of those things Chef makes look so simple..

Last night we made a cherry pie and a blueberry pie.. I think they both turned out very pretty. The blueberry pie got forgotten for a little bit in the oven and it bubbled a little more than I would prefer but it still was lovely and yummy..

Winter Ice Land

So we finally got our first snow last week and then the next day we also got our first ice storm as well and that screwed everything up.. This area is just nuts when it comes to snow. The ice I can understand not driving it because it is dangerous but snow come on people. It's so beautiful when it gets all icy I love it because all of the trees are covered in ice and well basically everything is covered in ice.

This is out our front door. The pond is not frozen completely so there will be no iceskating at our house.

It's beautiful but definately dangerous. I ate it hardcore while trying to take these pictures. Just a bruised booty though no big deal.

So I told my Grandma forever ago that I'd put these pictures up so she could see where I lived and I am finally getting around to do that.. I have lived in Virginia for over three years now and I still really love it so YAY for that and I love the family I live with and its just a nice place to be right now. I apologize for my room being a bit messy but it's just what it is right now cause I haven't had a whole lot of me time to get things put together but all and all it's not that bad..

My apartment is in the backyard above the garage.

This is my kitchen. Which doesn't really get used all that much because I spend most of my time over in the big house.

I have been having the best time ever at school.. I absolutely love my school so much and everything I am doing there. It is such an amazing thing that I get to do and I am learning so much stuff like what actually happens while baking and what happens when the product reaches different temperatures. It's just really fun and I love what I am doing and I am so glad that I decided to do this. Here are just a few pictures of what we have been doing lately.

We made a San Francisco Sourdough and mine turned out so nice. My teacher was very impressed with it and I was also really impressed considering I had never made a sourdough before in my life but it was really good.

We also made Strawberry Shortcake which turned out good.

This is my favorite thing we made. It is Challah(Holla) bread. I had know idea that's how it is pronounced but now I do. It is a jewish bread and it was really fun to make and so pretty and REALLY good. We have also made a few different types of muffins, pita bread, french baguettes, a loaf of whole wheat bread, biscuits, light rye bread and a few others.. It is such a blast to go to school and do something you actually enjoy.

So we have a basketball league at church and its way fun although I only have gotten to play in one game because I have school every Saturday when the games are it is still way super fun.. We got cute jersey's and everything and well my friends and I are awesome so we wore sweet tube socks. This is from the one and only game that I played in. We won! YAY!! We just play against the other wards in our stake and let me tell you we're the only singles ward in our stake so we are playing against the older ladies and they are intense but we're young and intense as well so its a blast.

My friend Shane's brother got "blown up" in Iraq 2 years ago.. and I say blown up because that's what he always says and well he technically did get blown up but he is still alive. So for the past 2 years he has been at Walter Reed having surgery after surgery to be put back together. It's like a real life Humpty Dumpty story. To date he has had 84 surgeries and he is just waiting to hear if he will be losing his leg or if he'll only have a couple more surgeries. He is really hoping to be home at some point this year. So Shane came out to visit him over Christmas and my friend Sylvia and I went up to see them the other day. We had a blast.. I love Shane he is the funniest kid ever and we had such a great time. Travis' wife and little girl stayed home and Shane, Travis, Sylvia and I went to lunch and then went to race Go Carts.. It was so much fun..

We got these super sweet suits to wear and helmets and it was such a blast.. I'm just kind of the odd girl out because they have suits in all different colors but they go by size so I had to be different.. it's cool though cuz blue is way cooler.. It's an indoor track here in Virginia and they go so fast.. I'm so happy that I got to see him.

Happy New Year everyone.. Here's to 2009. I hope everyone has the best year ever and that you all accomplish everything you hope to in the new year. I have a hard time keeping my New Year's Resolutions every year and I think it is because they are always so unreasonable so this year I have decided to make them a little more reasonable and here are just a few of the things I hope to do in 2009.
-Budget myself.. by budgeting I really mean no more shopping. I cleaned my closet out 7 different times this year and discovered many clothes that still had the tags on them and I never wore. So in 2009 I have decided I have enough clothes and I don't need anymore. I will only purchase the necessities.
-Eat more healthy, but do not deny myself of the things I love, just cut out the junk.
-No more SPEEDING.. I will keep my speeding under control and enjoy the drive instead of hurrying to get everywhere.
-Enjoy life, take time each day just do enjoy life.. whether it be taking a walk or just laying down by the pond whatever it is I'm going to enjoy my life.
-Be a better person, try and do a random act of kindness whenever I can.
-Open my heart and let people get close to me.
-Find joy in the journey.

I hope that in this year we can all do whatever it is that lets us enjoy our lives because Happiness is a way of travel, not a destination.

HomE foR tHe HoLidAyS..

So I finally made it home.. We had such a good time. It was just Melinda and I home for Christmas this year but David, Rachel and the boys came on Saturday so that was nice. I had such a blast with those little boys. They are two of the cutest kids and I love them..

Lance is such a goofball and he just makes life so much more sweeter when he's around.

I Love my family and I am so glad that I got to be home with them.

Stuck In Neward

So on Monday, December 21 my friend Sylvia and I were scheduled to leave Baltimore to go home to Utah well we got to the airport in plenty of time we even got on our plane on time and then we got out on the runway and they shut our plane down because there was to much air traffic in Newark which is where our layover was. So we sat there for about 45 min and when we finally got there we ran to our gate and our plane was still there so we got excited but turns out they had given our seats away so us along with 14 other people were now stranded in Newark.

We had to sit in a customer service line for 4 hours for them to tell us to fly standby. I called American Express and they got us on a flight on Christmas Eve morning which is better than what Continental was offereing us. But we still were stuck in the airport for two days.

We did make the most of it thougha dn we met some nice people that we hung out with.

And we finally got to leave.

First Quarter..

So I just finished my first quarter of Culinary School.. Ok well I finished a couple weeks ago but I have been all over the place so I haven't had a chance to get on here. I got A's in both of my classes and I really had such a blast and I am so glad that I finally found something that I really love and that makes me enjoy schooling.

Erin's Baptism..

So this was a little while ago but on November 25, 2008 my friend Erin got baptized. She has been investigating the church for a really long time now and she finally was able to be baptized. She has known this was what she wanted for awhile now but it was really important to her to have her parents on board with it. She grew up in a catholic family, went to catholic school so this was a difficult thing for her family to wrap their heads around. After years of investigating and going taking the missionary discussions which a small group of us participated in, naming ourselves the fun group, her parents had one last request. They wanted Erin to visit other churches first so we started going to different churches on Sunday mornings before we went to our ward and finally her parents said she could do it. It was a really special day and I am really so happy for her and so glad that I got to be a part of it.

Erin was baptized by Kyle Fields, who happens to be her boyfriend as well. It was really special for them both. There was a really nice program and Julie, Sylvia and I got to sing Come Thou Fount which is a beautiful song.

Sis Warner came up with this clever idea to make her a "COMFORTER" and we all signed it because the Holy Ghost is our Comforter..

I love Erin and I am so happy that she was able to make this decision.. She has helped me so much to strengthen my testimony and I am so grateful for her..

Kissing Fish..

So while Melinda was here we went to Alexandria to get Dr. Fish Pedicures. It's the only place in the U.S. that does it so I figured she should do it while she was here.. You stick your feet in a tank full of these little fish. I'm not positive what their actual name is but it is a type of carp known as the kissing fish and they just nibble away at the dead skin on your feet.. It tickled way bad when we first put our feet in there but then you get used to it.

I also had to put my hands in there cause I wanted soft hands too..

Coach Steve Hodson..

For the past nine years Coach Hodson has been battling multiple cell Myeloma, a cancer that attacks the blood and bone marrow. He has been one of the strongest people I have ever known. He has put on the toughest fight against Cancer and like many others I was so sure that he was going to beat it.. If anyone could he could and I thought it was going well, but this past little while the cancer started fighting harder against him and last Thursday night his daughter, Annie, told me that there was nothing more the doctors could do for him and that they were giving him a week, maybe less. Well last night, November 3, 2008 Coach Hod passed away. For the past nine years I have become a part of that family and being so far away during a time like this really just hurts. He was such an amazing person. He welcomed me into their family with open arms and has been there for me through everything that I have decided to do with my life. He is such an inspiration to me to fight for what I want and to work hard to accomplish my goals. He will truly be missed by so many. I just wanted to ask you all to keep his family in your prayers. Thank you so much.. I love you Coach Hod!

Halloween!!

So Halloweeen has always been my favorite holiday but this year I just wasn't in the mood for the holiday celebrating.. I got some pretty awful news and I just wasn't in the mood.. Plus I had school that night but it was ok cuz I didn't really want to do much.. I went to school and made chicken fricassee and got an A+ on it so YAY!! Anyway every fast Sunday we have break the fast after church and I had signed up for a dessert so since it was close enough to Halloween this is what we decided to make. My friend Julie and I(and no I'm not referring to myself twice) we made this cake Sunday morning before church.. It was so much fun..

1. I absolutely hate it when people leave the toilet seat and lid up.. It drives me crazy because honestly its just gross plus it looks quite trashy when you can see in the toilet. It has a lid so close it when you are done. It's quite a simple thing to do, I just don't get it why people leave it up.

2. I refuse to have my text messages make any sound when I receive one because I think it is annoying, however, I'm crazy about texting so I am constantly looking at my phone all the time to see if I have a new message since it is just silent when I receive one.

3. I have to sleep on the left side of the bed and I only sleep on top of the covers never in my actual bed. I'm not sure why but I just have always slept on top with a little blanket over me. Maybe its because I get really hot when I sleep and its just easier to get out of a little blanket rather than try to get out of all the other stuff on a bed plus the sheets are all tucked in and it just not really comfortable to me.

4. I love the summer because I can wear flip flops(and that's basically all I wear) because I hate wearing shoes and socks. My feet are kind of crazy. I start to get claustrophobia of the feet and my toes start to freak out.. Not all the time but occasionally and well I just prefer not to wear shoes so I only wear them when it is absolutely necessary.

5. I hate watching commercials so bad. If something is on that I want to watch and it has commercials, I'll pause it(thank heavens for DVR) and go find something else to do until its been long enough that I'll be able to fast forward through the commercials.

6. I hate when toilet paper and paper towels are put on the roll the wrong way. They are suppose to come over the top of the roll not from the bottom. I have to change them wherever I am if they are going the wrong way.

So I have seen this on a few of my family's blogs and it looked like fun so I did it also..
I am 22 years old..

I live in Warrenton, Virginia.. You can look it up there's not much here.. It's basically farm country and I love it. It's about 40 miles south of D.C. and really, really small. I'm talking smaller than Cedar City.. Yep that's right!!

I would like to travel to Rome.. It has always been my dream and now I can finally have my dream wedding there.. Well in however many years it takes to finish the temple there.. But I was talking to a few of my friends and I think we are going to plan a vacation there sometime next year.. So here's to hoping it actually works out because that would be a dream come true.

I like about anything Italian.. This is my favorite dish when I go to Olive Garden.. It is the five chees ziti.. just ask my friends I rarely order anything different.. If ever at all..

I grew up in Cedar City, Utah.. it is such a beautiful place, not that I ever want to live there again but it is really beautiful.. Plus my mom and Tom are there so I'll at least show up every now and then to visit..

My favorite color is Pink.. Its just so fun and bright and it just makes me smile..

My favorite animal is the Chocolate Lab and I want one so bad, but we can't have a dog right now so when I move I am getting a little girl, chocolate lab and I am going to name her Godiva..

I used to love troll dolls so much I think I had like 30 of them.. they were such fun little things and now that I look at them they are kind of freaky but I loved them way back when.. I had a little house and everything.. they were such awesome toys.

This past week I started Culinary school at the Art Institute of Washington and I absolutely love it so much. I am going to this school to get my degree in Baking and Pastry so I can eventually open up my own bakery. I never realized school could be so great. I have only gone for three days so far but it has been the greatest experience yet.. My classes are so much fun and my teachers are great. I am currently taking concepts and theories, which is a basic cookin class, it will teach me all the basic, well concepts and theories of cooking. So far we have learned different knife cuts. Ya there are quite a few different ones.. Small, Medium and Large dice, Julienne, Brunoise, and Tourne is what we have been working on so far. My teacher is a trip and there is this woman in my class that just cracks us all up everyday. I am also taking Marketing this semester as well as Management. My cooking classes, however, will more than likely outshine those classes because they are hands on and so much fun.. We have uniforms we have to wear to class and they are your average chef outfit and they are so much fun. So I should be done with school in about a year and then well we'll have to see where I go from there but for now I am enjoying my life. Because I have been thinking about it a lot lately.. Life that is and well President Monson pretty much reassured my thoughts I've been having. We need to enjoy our lives. I have been thinking a lot about yesterday and making sure that I did everything I could to enjoy yesterday cause I will never be able to get it back. I spend a lot of time with the Warner's and if you don't know who they are, that would be weird cause I talk about them a lot but they are a couple in my ward and they have basically adopted me but they have a wall hanging in their house that says Happiness is a way of travel, not a destination! That has stuck with me ever since I first saw it. Life only happens once and we should utilize our time and enjoy every minute of it. So I hope that for all of you that are reading this, that you are doing everything you want in your life. Never let anything or anyone hold you back from your dreams.. Culinary is one of my dreams and I'm finally doing it and I couldn't be happier. Live your dreams, open your eyes and enjoy yourself while you live. Because there is no point to living if you go through it with your eyes closed, so open your eyes and REALLY experience it.

My Hair!!

So everytime I do anything to my hair it usually makes me really sad, so you may ask why I keep doing stuff do it?? Well that's a very valid question and I just don't have an answer.. maybe because I get bored or just want a change but the simple fact is I'm a very plain jane girl when it comes to my hair. I like it long and I usually put it in a ponytail.. That's how it's always been with me. Well a couple months ago I had my friend chop my hair off because I saw this cute picture of a haircut that I thought would look great well it would if I #1 knew how to do hair and #2 ever liked to take the time to do hair so needless to say I hated the haircut and I cried(also something that happens once I do anything to my hair) So I wanted my long hair back so Sunday, while watching conference, we put extension in my hair.

Here's what it looked like all finished.. Sylvia did a pretty good job at putting them in. It was her first time ever doing them. She weaved them in. Now here's the thing though weaving means there were braids across my head in three spots and well sleeping on them kind of hurt my head and showering and washing my hair it was just kind of awkward. After a couple days the braids started to loosen and it just was really heavy on my head and the hair was pulling and it was just really uncomfortable plus even though we used human hair it just was kind of dull. My natural hair is so fine and bright and shiny and it just didn't do my hair justice so long story short Cameron cut them out last night and I am back to my natural hair and I will have to wait for it to grow out to be that long on its own.. Oh I didn't tell you the biggest reason why they didn't work.. I COULDN'T PUT MY HAIR IN A PONYTAIL.. The braids underneath would show through so it just looked kind of whitetrash and like I said before I'm a ponytail girl..

So Sylvia and I went to a Martina McBride concert on Saturday and it was so much fun.. We had lawn seats at the beginning and well it started to rain and then it started to pour and even with umbrellas we got soaking wet so then we were sneaking in to the pavillon part and this lady just told us we could go in so we were like sweet.. Jason Michael Carroll and Jack Ingram opened the show for her and they were both really good. I didn't know who either of them were but I enjoyed them both and then Martina came out.. She is amazing in concert we had such a blast even though we got trenched in the beginning it was ok cuz we were under the pavillon for all of Martina..
It was wet and rainy so I didn't take to many pictures.. but there are a few mainly of Sylvia and me playing in the rain or just messing around.. I wore my super sweet cowboy boots..

This month was Abby and Erin's birthday and well we like to have combined parties.. it started in May with Matty and my party then in June was Julie and Marva and well this month it was Erin and Abby and they chose to have a formal dinner so we all dressed up and went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory.. it was so much fun.. We got a lot of stares and well basically everyone thought we were in high school and going to Homecoming or whatever but it was so much fun.

A couple weeks ago we had a heroes and villains party with some of our friends.. it was quite a blast.. I was going to be wonder woman but that's what I am being for Halloween so I decided to go with Elektra.. it was tons of fun..

Kami and Hank's Wedding

So my friend Kami got married last weekend well I guess maybe it's been two weekends ago now. And let's just say it was an interesting experience to be a part of it. I planned her bridal shower and had it at my house on our front patio and it was a really nice time. The weather was beautiful and I think it turned out nice.

Now here's the thing about these dresses.. We went and got fitted twice and we got our finished products and well they were huge it was basically like I was wearinga tent so thursday morning the day before her wedding we all went back and got fitted again and well still they didn't all fit quite right. I just pinned mine in the back cuz it was rather large.. They got married in the Washington DC temple and it was beautiful. We even got all of our pictures taken before it started pouring so it was nice.

Then Saturday we have to be to their house at 1 to get ready so we do and well really we didn't get ready then instead I made boutineers ya that's right. We started getting ready at about 2:30. Kami married Hank who is from Cambodia so her reception was Cambodian therefore we had to wear these Cambodian outfits that this lady had to dress us in and she did our hair which turned out like I don't know horrible prom hair with it slicked back and ringlets hanging down the back it was awful but oh well..

Then we get to the reception and it was all just very let's say interesting. The reception started at 6:30 so everyone showed up around then but turns out we had to stand by the door for an hour and a half greeting people while everyone who showed up on time sat at their tables starving. Then at 8:15 they started the dinner which was a 10 course meal and well the food was again lets go with interesting.. Nothing that was enjoyable or well even edible it all was pretty bad. We had things like jellyfish and fish stomach and many other weird things that well I didn't even try.

They had a Cambodian band playing and it was nice for them I guess but it was really loud and we were not in a very large area so it just started to get really annoying when you are sitting next to someone and you can't even hear what they are saying. Needless to say I will never be having a Cambodian reception nor do I really want to be a part of one ever again. I feel that it was Kami's day and she was overshowed the entire time.

My friend Shawn and I went up to New York to meet Heidi and Brian this past week and it was so much fun I had a blast.. We did so much and I was super tired by the end but it was so much fun.. We all got to go to the David Letterman show and I really enjoyed it a lot..

My friend wasn't really interested in doing a whole lot with us so he did his own thing which was fine with me cuz I got to hang out with Heidi and Brian and well I never get to really see them so it was a good time.. We took a really cool boat ride around the Manhattan Island.

We went to a couple baseball games to close out the seasons in the Old Yankee and Shae Stadiums

Virginia Beach!!

So a few of us went to Virginia Beach on Saturday for Memorial day weekend but really we just went down for the day but oh it was such a blast.. We woke up super early to beat traffic but then didn't end up leaving until about 7 but we still didn't hit any traffice except for about two miles and that was because there was a semi on fire but we got down there in record time.. Mainly because I was driving:) It was Sylvia, Ashley, me, Abby and Logan and it was a blast.. We just layed out and played in the water and met some guys and played ultimate frisbee with them.. It was so much fun and I got a nice tan whereas my friends Sylvia and Logan they got so fried.. Apparantly they didn't reapply with the sunscreen..

Let me tell you a funny story about my friend Logan that we figured out this weekend.. So we've been friends for about 3 months now and we were talking about me being in Arizona in February and he's like I graduated from Mesa High School and I was like sweet I was staying at my uncle Don's house and its right by Mesa High and he's like Don Shelley and I was like ya.. Well turns out Logan worked for my Uncle Don and pretty much lived just down the street and hung out with them all the time.. crazy right.. I thought it was so funny he knew all of the kids and everything like hung out with them frequently and now it all makes sense because while I was in AZ my uncle don was like we have some friends that just moved to Manassas, VA and well its Logan's family.. Crazy small world..

So we're in baby season with the llamas and the other day I went to check to see if there were any babies and there weren't, but one mom seemed to be in labor so I went back about a half hour later and she had, had her baby, but it was dead.. now I've never lost a baby but I reckon it would make anyone very upset and the same goes for llamas.. she was mad and I was on the phone with Stacie telling her what happened and she told me to touch the eye to see how long it was dead, because if it is squishy then it has been dead in the womb for some time. Well remember the mom is already mad, but I just figured she'd spit on me and whatever that's fine I can shower so I bend down to touch it and she is spitting like a mad woman then all the sudden she raises her leg and whack right in the face.. Yep she kicked me and well this is my lovely bruise.. it is so crazy for the first few days it was just really red and then Friday I woke up and it was a little purple and now it has just gotten progressively worse and is now black.. but what a great story huh.. Like who gets kicked in the face by a llama..

Nelson's Baptism..

So for quite a while now every Wednesday a group of us go to the Warner's house to participate in the discussions being taught to my friend Nelson he finally got baptized last night.. It was such an amazing night.. We've been waiting for so long and especially Elder Webb because he leaves next Friday and he really wanted to baptize Nelson so we've been hoping for May 10th and a couple weeks ago we were at the discussions and Nelson had such an amazing eye opening experience.. His favorite scripture is Ether 12:27 and he was reading it and he looked at the page # for some reason but the number is 510 so he decided that was a sign.. Even though we had it on the 8th cuz he has to work Saturday but it was still amazing.. I'm so happy that I got to share that experience with him.. Look at those great looking missionaries.. It's Elder Gannaway, Elder Randall, Elder Galloway, Nelson and Elder Webb.. Yep in case you are wondering that's Elder Webb.. =)

Nelson is such a great guy and has such an amazing spirit.. He is always smiling and just is genuinely a great guy..

So I joined a co-ed adult soccer league and we had our first game on Saturday.. It was so much fun.. I hadn't played in like 4 years and we had never played together but it was so much fun.. We lost 4-2 but it was still fun.. Oh and ps I am the only girl on my team and I believe one of two in the whole league.. plus I'm pretty sure that everyone on my team is over 30 at least and most over 40.. it's great..

Last night my friend Abby and I went to help out at the Warner's Open house for their son's wedding.. The Warner's are in our ward they I think are the stake representatives for our singles ward and they are so much fun we have a blast every time we hang out with them.. I love Easter so we decided to have an Easter Egg hunt and BBQ at my house last Saturday.. It was so much fun a bunch of people from my ward came out and we ate and looked for Easter Eggs around my house it was so much fun although all week long I was watching the weather and they were calling for storms for Saturday and it made me really worried so I was praying and praying and praying all week long and I woke up Saturday morning to a clear blue sky I was so excited I literally was jumping up and down.. Although throughout the day a few clouds came and went but it never rained.. woo.. It was kind of chilly though..

We had so much fun I loved it so much it was like being a kid again..

Manassas Battlefields..

A Little Update..

I just haven't done anything on here for a little while so I just thought I'd let you all know what's happening lately. I am still going to school right now and well I love my classes this semester. I am taking Developmental Psychology, College Algebra and my 2nd level of Philosophy. I don't always love math but I really enjoy it when I understand it and well when I don't understand it I am lucky enough to have a bishop who is a math teacher so he tutors me when I don't understand. Other than that I am just working my little tail off.. ha ha really though I seem to be busy all the time now when just a few months ago I had all the time in the world. My friend Amy is getting married this weekend so me and Kami are headed to Arizona tomorrow. I am very excited not only because I get to see some of my friends but I'll also get to see my Uncle Don and Aunt Jana.. I haven't seen them I think in a couple years so that'll be nice.. So if any of you feel the need I'll be in Mesa so come on down.. This picture which has had nothing to do with my little thing here well I just love it and I wanted to share it with all of you. So these are quite late I realize since Christmas was about a month ago but cute all the same.. We had a blast and these are mostly of the National Christmas tree.. It was freezing but way fun.. I don't know how many of you know thise but the national christmas tree is a tree that is planted in the elipse in front of the White House and then is decorated ever Christmas differently.. This year I'm not going to lie is not my favorite but it is still need to see it.

Well when we hang out we get a little crazy and well this would be it.. I know it doesn't really seem all that crazy but it was so fun well until I got smacked in the nose with a newspaper..
We played a game where everyone had a state and someone was in the middle and I would start off by saying someone elses state and they had to say someone elses state before the person in the middle hit them with a newspaper but it was suppose to just be like below the neck and not to hard but this kid Jeremiah well he got a little brutal and would chuck the newspaper at you and one time he threw it at me and turns out it smacked me in the face right on the nose and well since I just had surgery it hurt like mad and I cried and ugh I hardly ever cry and if I do it's usually in the privacy of my own home, not to mention by myself..

ok this is in explanation to my being asleep the majority of my trip.. k look closely at the first picture and you can see the crookedness of my nose.. well the day after christmas I went to meet with Dr. Pearson in Cedar and had my consult and on December 27 I got a straight nose.. It was very exciting this is just my progress as the days went on. By the time I left a week later I was completely done.. Well it still hurts way bad if it is touched in any way but it looks good and I love it..

Never before had I ever gone shopping that early in the morning the day after Thanksgiving but I don't sleep well anyway so I was up at about 3 and I thought hmmm why not so I got all dress with my leggings on and sweats and boots and long sleeve thermals and a sweater and my coat and I went and stood in line to go shopping.. it was such a cold morning and so freaking windy but I was pretty toasty cuz I had on about 8 layers.. I didn't even really have anything I needed to get but I just always wanted to go and since I was up I went and hmmm it's not really my cup of tea I guess when you have kids and stuff it would be a good idea to get all the deals and such.

HMMM... 6 things about me

1. I love doing dishes.. not all my life have I but with the past few years it is one of my favorite chores to do and I don't even consider it a chore.. I even have a specific way to load the dishwasher and it makes me very upset when people mess it up..

2. I have a serious shopping problem that I am trying so hard to control.. and really it is just stupid things that I buy like when I get bored I go to random stores and just find things to buy which is so not good at all..

3. I am more grateful for the church and the gospel in my life, living and being where I am right now in my life than I ever was before and I can't imagine my life without it.. It has been a major life savor and I love the people, my friends and family who are so strong in it and such great examples and my amazing bishop who has helped me so much..

4. I rarely get dressed up for anything.. I am a complete slacker when it comes to getting all prettied up, but I love Sundays because I am required to look nice and I love dressing up I just never do it because I never really have a reason to do it.. plus I am not that good at the whole hair and make up thing ya know..

5. I love running and exercising but I hate doing it by myself so I have been slacking majorly lately cuz I have no one to go with me so I am not that intrigued in doing it but I love to run.. It makes me so happy and it is a great stress reliever and regardless to what people think 21 year olds have stress just like anyone else..

6. I love seeing my family and friends.. I can't wait to go home for the holidays so I can see my family and friends and I also love just hanging out and doing nothing it is one of my favorite things to do in the whole world..
